KUCHING, May 25: A motorcyclist was killed following an accident near Kampung Stass in Bau today.
According to a report from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre, they received a call regarding the accident at 8.15am and deployed Bomba Bau to the location.
The victim, identified as Dratin Kipa, 54, was confirmed dead at the scene by medical personnel from the Ministry of Health (MOH).
The deceased’s body was later handed over to the police for further action.
Based on the report from the operations commander, the victim collided with a Proton Wira and was thrown into a ditch.
The Proton Wira driver, who was also injured in the accident, was helped out of the vehicle by members of the public and transported to Bau Hospital before the arrival of firefighters. — DayakDaily
