KUCHING, 9 Aug: A 23-year-old motorcyclist was killed after he collided with a car at Mile 4, along the Kuching-Serian Road early Sunday morning.
Police were contacted at 5am and a team of police was deployed to the scene.
According to the State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu, the incident happened around 3am when the car driver together with his wife was heading towards Kuching City from Padawan.
“When the driver and his wife reached the traffic light junction at the Mile 4 area, the deceased, who is the motorcyclist, together with his friend collided with them,” Alexson said.
The motorcyclist was later pronounced dead due to serious head injuries while the pillion rider suffered injuries on his left leg.
Police have started their investigation on this case under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. — DayakDaily
