MIRI, Oct 15: A man died after his motorcycle collided with a four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicle on Friday night (Oct 13) in the Libai area, along the Jalan Pan Borneo.
Miri OCPD ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said the accident was believed to have occurred around 8pm.
“The motorcyclist died on the spot,” he said, adding that the deceased’s identity is not yet known.
However, the driver of the 4WD was not hurt.
Alexson said prior to the crash, both vehicles were travelling towards Miri when the 4WD suddenly rear-ended the motorcycle.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. — DayakDaily
