Motorcyclist dies after crashing into lorry in Miri

MIRI, Oct 24: A 26-year-old man died when the motorcycle he was riding reportedly went out of control and rammed into a lorry coming in the opposite direction in Jalan Taman Fu Tee at about 7am today.

The deceased has been identified as Steven Unji Tangau, and he was believed to be on his way to work when the tragedy occured.

City police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah, in confirming the accident, said, ā€œHe was coming from the Bukit Song direction, and the collision occurred after he entered Jalan Taman Fu Tee.ā€

Stevenā€™s remains were later taken to Miri Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. ā€” DayakDaily
