KUCHING, Aug 8: A motorcyclist was killed after slamming into the wall of Jalan Abang Kipali underpass-flyover in Petra Jaya here in the wee hours of Friday.
Police received a report at 2.45am and a team was deployed to the scene immediately.
According to State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department Chief, Supt Alexson Naga Chabu, the deceased was heading towards Petra Jaya from the city when the accident happened.
Initial investigation revealed that the deceased had lost control of his motorcycle and collided with a wall of the underpass.
Police however could not find the identity card on the victim. He was pronounced dead by the medical officers.
Investigation on this case under Section 41(1) Road Transport Act 1987 has been carried out as police now trying to identify the deceased.—DayakDaily
