KUCHING, Oct 29: An unemployed man was sentenced to ten years in jail and six strokes of the rotan today after he was found guilty of raping his girlfriend’s daughter since she was 12-years-old.
Mohamad Sili, 41, pleaded guilty to the charge framed.
Sessions Court Judge Jason Juga accepted his plea and convicted him as charged before passing sentence.
The accused was charged with raping his then girlfriend’s daughter since she was 12-yearw-old, in the victim’s house in Kampung Biawak, Lundu.
According to the victim, she was raped by the accused for the first time in 2016, when she was 12-years-old. During that time, the accused was her biological mother’s boyfriend who was staying together with them under one roof.
The accused was charged under Section 376(2) of the Penal Code, which carries imprisonment for a term which may extend to twenty years, and shall also be liable to whipping, upon conviction.
