BINTULU, Jan 28: Police have arrested five foreigners including the mother of the newborn girl found abandoned near a cafe at Jalan Tun Hussein Onn here.
Bintulu district police chief, Supt Zulkipli Suhaili, said of the five suspects, three of them were men.
The arrests were made today following a report lodged by a local woman at 1.09pm concerning the abandoned baby girl the same day she was found.
“We are still investigating the case from all angles, which includes information provided by the complainant,” he said.
The case is being investigated under Section 317 of the Penal Code for abandonment of a child under 12 years. — DayakDaily
