KUCHING, June 23: A morning fire broke out on the third floor of a shophouse in Jalan Kampung Nyabor, Sibu, today.

According to a report by the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), they received a call about the fire at 3.24am and dispatched the Central Sibu firefighter team, with the Sungai Merah team providing support.

“The estimated area of the fire is 20 x 60 square feet, and the third floor is completely burned,” read the report.

Fortunately, there were no reported casualties, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation. — DayakDaily
