KUCHING, Feb 23: A fire destroyed one house and damaged the exterior ceilings of two others at Taman Matang here today.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), an emergency call was received at 8.48am today, and firefighters from the Petra Jaya and Batu Lintang stations were deployed.

Upon arrival at 9.02am, the operations commander reported that the incident involved three houses, each measuring 20×40 square feet.
Defensive and offensive methods were used to control the fire, which was secured at 9.14am.
No casualties were reported, and overhaul works are still being carried out. — DayakDaily
