More than 80 local, national and intl artists to attend Kuching Tattoo Fest (Sept 30-Oct 2)

KUCHING, Sept 1: Kuching Tattoo Festival 2022 returns in September with more than 80 tattoo artists from Sarawak, Sabah, Peninsular Malaysia and Philippines showcasing their masterpieces.

Speaking at a press conference at Dayak Bidayuh National Association (DBNA) Hall here today, its organiser Boi Skolang from Skrang Tattoo Studio said the event, which is organised in collaboration with Nicholas Jenta from Inkzation Tattoo Studio, will be held from Sept 30 until Oct 2, at DBNA Hall.


“This is also part of our efforts to promote tattoo arts and local tattoo scenes to the young generations,” he said.

He added this is the continuation of the Kuching Tattoo Festival scheduled for 2020 which was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, Nicholas said there will be a ‘miring’ ceremony on the first day (Sept 30) of the festival, follow by traditional dance performances.

Other activities lined up for the festival included music performances, a tattoo seminar, biker gathering and many more.

Entrance fee for individuals is RM10 per day, while entrance fee for children aged 12 and below is free.
