KUCHING, Aug 21: Moral Uplifting Society Che Chuan Khor Simanggang delivered 250 food baskets to the needy during a recent food aid programme held in conjunction with the Hungry Ghost Festival.
According to a press statement, organising chairman Tay Cho Seng expressed the association’s gratitude to Deputy Minister Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development (MEITD) Datuk Francis Harden Hollis who attended both the procession held last Monday (Aug 15) and also the food aid programme held at the association’s Che Chuan Khor Hall, recently.
On behalf of the society, Tay also conveyed his utmost gratitude to Francis, who is also the Simanggang assemblyman, for his constant support for the society in form of monetary and also physical and mental support. — DayakDaily
