MoH personnel track down, secure Covid-19 positive oil and gas industry employee

KUCHING, March 24: A man who had been staying in a hotel here and visited offshore oil platforms tested positive for Covid-19 and was brought to Miri Hospital yesterday night.

The man had gone for Covid-19 screening after he reached Miri and had been staying in the hotel for three days.


According to a Sarawak Operations Centre (PGO) report, the test result for the man turned out to be positive for Covid-19 and Ministry of Health (MoH) personnel were able to trace the man. He was cooperative and allowed himself to be taken by ambulance to Miri Hospital for treatment.

MoH teams were also despatched to cordon the area and sanitise areas which the man had entered in the hotel.

Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) personnel also assisted in moving the man to the hospital. — DayakDaily
