KUCHING, Jan 19: The body of missing Myanmar national, Aung Thu, was found at Samalaju beach, four days after he was feared drowned on Wednesday.
The body was found at the beach by search and rescue (SAR) personnel from the Fire and Rescue Department and Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency around 10.20am today.
The deceased was found some 2.5km from where he was last spotted and reported missing on Jan 15.
Authorities have confirmed the body to be that of the 27-year-old missing foreigner.
The body has been handed over to the police for further investigation. — DayakDaily
