Missing boy in Bintulu found safe

BINTULU, Nov 8: The missing 11-year-old boy from Rh Galin was found safe after a three-day Search and Rescue (SAR) operation.

According to Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation centre, the victim have surrendered himself at the Bintulu police station.

“The victim was confirmed safe, and the police are continuing investigation on the cause of the disappearance,” a statement from the centre stated.

The victim, Stanley Anyeh from Rumah Galin, Batu 8 at Jalan Bintulu-Miri was reported missing on Nov 6, 2019 after he entered the jungle at the back of the longhouse.

The boy’s parents and villagers initially tried to look for him but were unsuccessful and the mother later lodged a missing person’s report.— DayakDaily
