KUCHING, March 15: A caretaker and her husband who were arrested in connection with the disappearance of four-year-old Eric Chang Wei Jie, will be brought for remand under Section 302 of the Penal Code (murder case).
Kuching District Police Chief ACP Ahsmon Bajah said the remand application process will be done at the Tabuan Jaya Police Station tomorrow.
He said the two suspects were earlier arrested along with Eric’s parents for further investigation under Section 31(1)(a) of the Children Act 2001.
“Eric’s parents were released on police bail yesterday and the caretaker is still remanded until March 16 (tomorrow).
“Tomorrow morning, the caretaker will be produced for remand under Section 302 of the Penal Code at Tabuan Jaya,” he said in a statement today. — DayakDaily
