Catch exciting deals at Sia Sitok Sarawak Travel Fair 2022 at Kuching and Miri malls from March 18-20

KUCHING, March 15: In conjunction with the Sia Sitok Sarawak (SSS) 3.0 campaign, Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) will be bringing exciting deals and great prizes to enthusiastic travellers in Kuching and Miri this weekend with the Sia Sitok Sarawak Travel Fair 2022.

According to a statement from STB, from March 18 to March 20, from 10am to 9pm, Sarawakians and non-Sarawakians residing in Sarawak on work permits can enjoy up to 50 per cent off on over 88 exciting packages offered by participating travel agents and operators at Boulevard Shopping Mall Kuching and Bintang Megamall Miri.

Among the unique and enticing packages and activities up for grabs are the Kuching Sunset Night Cycling ride which covers 85 per cent of Kuching’s “sights” as listed by Lonely Planet; exploring Bung Jagoi Heritage, an old Bidayuh village established 175 years ago; or being awed by Borneo’s only red haematic paintings at the Painted Caves at the Niah National Park, believed to be at least a thousand years old.


Those looking to explore Central Sarawak can escape with the Villages Exploration package in Bruit, Daro and Matu; a 3D/2N Bakun get-away; or the The Melanau Heritage Trail (4D3N) package, which includes visits to Sibu and Mukah.

New attractions for the Northern Sarawak region include a 2D1N freshwater prawn fishing trip at Kampung Sepupok Niah in Miri, as well as exciting golf packages at Miri’s Eastwood Valley Golf & Country Club. Hikers can also challenge themselves by climbing Mount Murud in Limbang or experiencing the Lun Bawang Heritage activity in Lawas.

According to STB chief executive officer Sharzede Salleh Askor, Sarawak Travel Fair 2022 is a continuation of promoting local Sarawak tourism products to local Sarawakians and permanent residents.

Visitors to the travel fair can play games like Wheel of Fortune and Rubic Word Puzzle, as well as pose for photos in Sarawak-themed photo booths.

Those interested in learning more about the packages on offer are encouraged to engage with participating tour operators during designated talk sessions at the booths at Boulevard Shopping Mall and Bintang Megamall on Saturday, March 19 at 12pm, 4pm, and 6pm.

The SSS 3.0 campaign offers packages for tours and activities throughout Sarawak which include daytrips and multi-day trips.

Meanwhile, the Sia Sitok Sarawak Accommodation (SSSA) 2.0 campaign will offer attractive staycation packages at local hotels and resorts.

The booking period for both deals start from March 1 until April 30 while the travelling period is from March 1 till May 31.
