KUCHING, Sept 6: Minister of Utilities Datuk Seri Stephen Rundi Utom contributed firefighting equipment to Rumah Tr Sube, Miri to boost the residents’ firefighting capabilities this morning.
Various equipment such as water hoses, hydrant adapters, nozzles, and others were supplied to the longhouse. Lutong Lions Club also contributed eight fire extinguishers to the longhouse at the same event.
According to a statement from Batu Niah Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), the longhouse’s Bomba Community group comprises 10 members.
Firefighters conducted demonstrations on how to use a fire extinguisher for the residents.
Meanwhile, Bomba presented certificates to the longhouse’s Bomba Community members during the event. — DayakDaily
