KUCHING, April 14: Fish vendors at the Miri Fish Market at Jalan Bendahara will be moving out from the current premises and resuming their trading at the new Miri Fish Market located behind Pullman Hotel with effect from April 15, 2021.
The general public can access the new market from Miri city Centre using Jalan Marina Utama after passing through the Miri Waterfront Commercial Centre.
“The new Miri Fish Market is more conducive for both traders and customers.
“It is completed with various facilities including a public toilet, a separate area for traders for loading and unloading their goods and ample parking space for customers after taking into consideration of the views and suggestions from the stallholders,” said Miri City Council (MCC) in a statement today.
According to MCC, the layout of the new market can accommodate 60 fish stalls, two live chicken stalls and three dressed chicken stalls. — DayakDaily
