Miri firefighters ‘moo-ve’ to help calf stuck in drain

MIRI, Nov 25: Firefighters came to the aid of a calf in trouble this morning after it fell into a drain at Taman Milea, Eastwood Industrial Park.

Miri Zone Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) chief PgKB I Law Poh Kiong revealed they received the call for help at 9.40am.

A team of eight firefighters led by PBK II Rorudi Umas rushed to the scene.


Upon arrival and after accessing the situation, firefighters decided to rescue the calf using fire hose and webbing.

It took them just nine minutes to lift the animal out of the drain successfully. — DayakDaily
