Miri Cops arrest 18 behind 15 house break-in cases

MIRI, Dec 14: Police believe they have solved 15 house break-in cases with the arrest of 18 suspects, including an 11-year-old boy, during ‘Ops Pintu’ and ‘Ops Lejang’.

Both operations were held between Nov 24 and Dec 13.

Miri police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah said in a press statement today that three cars and a motorcycle were seized during the operations.

“Initial investigation revealed that these suspects have been involved in 15 house break-in cases,” said Lim.

Items that were believed to be stolen, such as jewellery, wristwatches and electrical items, were seized, he added.

On the 11-year-old boy, he said he was nabbed during an operation on Nov 24.

Meanwhile, Lim said that following these arrests, police had solved at least 74 cases so far this year. — DayakDaily
