Minos: A much needed stimulus package to boost economy

KUCHING, Mar 27: Political observer Datuk Peter Minos was confident the comprehensive RM250 billion economic stimulus package unveiled by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin today will boost the country’s economy.

He believed the measures announced by Muhyiddin will help to maintain economic activities and boost domestic consumption to mitigate the impact of novel coronavirus (Covid-19).


As a result, he noted that the country’s economy will recover and gradually shift to better growth in the medium term.

“The latest initiative is expected to keep the national economy alive and kicking (moving).

“(With the allocation of funds to various sectors),economic activities at all levels are expected to be back to normal soon.

“After that, the country’s economy will gradually return to steady growth,” he observed.

Peter opined that in economic terms, it is called catching up with lost opportunties occassioned by a crisis.

In the meantime, he observed that the economic stimulus package is comprehensive covering all levels of society.

He expressed his gratitude to Muhyiddin for being a caring and people-centric prime minister.

He hoped that the financial assistance and initiatives announced by Muhyiddin will be channeled to all the targeted group the soonest. —DayakDaily
