Ministry rolls out 11 initiatives to boost patriotism, unity for National Day, M’sia Day 2026

PUTRAJAYA, Aug 18: The Ministry of National Unity (KPN) will roll out 11 national, unity, historical and heritage programmes to foster patriotism and strengthen national identity in conjunction with the 2026 National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations (HKHM 2026).

Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang said the initiatives include the 2026 National-Level Unity Integration Movement, Anak Merdeka Malaysia celebration, Independence Exhibition, Tun Abdul Razak Remembrance Programme, Merdeka Ball Festival Exhibition, A Night at the Museum and Rukun Negara Speech.

He said the programmes were in line with the nation-building agenda, which seeks to strengthen national identity, foster a sense of togetherness and nurture love for the country while respecting Malaysia’s diversity in terms of race, religion, culture and region.

“KPN remains committed to strengthening unity, instilling the spirit of patriotism and ensuring that an appreciation of our history, heritage and the Rukun Negara continues to serve as the foundation for building a more united, harmonious and prosperous Malaysia,” he said in a statement today.
