KUCHING, March 27: The Ministry of Works (KKR) plays an important role in driving infrastructure development across Sarawak, including ensuring the seamless implementation of infrastructure for the Kuching Urban Transportation System (KUTS) project.
Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi emphasised this following a meeting with Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd on the KUTS project.
“As the ministry responsible for the development of the country’s infrastructure, KKR plays an important role in coordinating the aspects of construction, maintenance, and safety standards of the infrastructure that support the implementation of KUTS.
“This meeting focuses on the latest developments of the projects and efforts to expedite their implementation for the comfort of the people,” he said in a Facebook post today.
KUTS is a strategic initiative to develop a modern and sustainable public transportation system in Kuching, Sarawak.
This project involves the development of Autonomous Rail Transit (ART) to reduce traffic congestion and enhance the mobility of residents. – DayakDaily
