He also hoped that Sungai Sebiew ATC would attract the youth to venture into modern agriculture.

Dr Rundi said this when speaking during launching ceremony for the ‘Proof of Concept: 1st Harvesting Modern Farming’ programme at Sungai Sebiew ATC on Saturday (Nov 4).

During the programme, he also witnessed the results of the Golden Melon and Daun Sup plant project, where plants grown using fertigation methods with Rain Protection Structure (SPH) were harvested for the first time, undertaken by Hing & Chan Enterprise Sdn Bhd which is a member of the Bintulu Farmers’ Association (PPK).

For the record, the project is under the purview of PPK Bintulu as the operator through the concept of ‘Joint Venture’ with members who acts as entrepreneurs or producers while PPK acts as a marketing agent. — DayakDaily
