KUCHING, Feb 15: In today’s era of mass production, handmade and original products are increasingly appreciated for their dedication, commitment, and personal touch.

Speaking at the Chinese New Year Carnival in Negeri Sembilan, Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing said such programmes enable the public to support local products, helping drive community economic growth and ensuring their long-term sustainability.

“Initiatives like this create opportunities for young people and creative entrepreneurs to showcase their talents and turn their passions into sources of income.

“It serves as an important platform for small entrepreneurs and local traders to introduce their products and showcase their creativity,” he said.

At the same time, Tiong, who is also the assemblyman for Dudong and MP for Bintulu, said that festive events also contribute to an increase in visitor numbers, making the atmosphere more vibrant. — DayakDaily
