KUCHING, 7 Nov: The government is giving emphasis to creating jobs in order to ensure sustainable income for unemployed Malaysians, especially so during the current pandemic which has caused many to be unemployed.
Creating a robust job market is as important as creating developmental infrastructure and providing basic public amenities.
Minister of Utilities, Datuk Seri Stephen Rundi Utom said in a statement today, with the current challenges faced during this pandemic, creating job opportunities and lowering the unemployment rate is crucial.
“As we struggle to survive this crisis, we hope the budget will provide for the needs aspired by every Malaysian.
“Employment for our people who lost their jobs and creating a job market within the country should be our utmost focus now, he said in conjunction with Budget 2021 tabled by Finance Minister, Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz in Parliament yesterday.
Rundi said that although it is normal for Malaysians to hope for an extraordinary Budget 2021, priority must be given to rebuilding the nation from the present economic downturn.
He hopes Budget 2021 will help to uplift the people and the nation from the gloomy outlook brought on by the pandemic. – DayakDaily.
