Midnight fire destroys longhouse in Long Balau, 20 families homeless

MIRI, Oct 4: At least 20 families were left homeless after their longhouse, Rumah Balau here, was razed in a fire at about 12 midnight.

The journey to Long Balau, under the jurisdiction of the Bario sub-district office, takes about nine hours via timber road.

Firefighters from Marudi Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) are still on their way to the scene as of press time.
