KUCHING, May 10: A 31-year-old man sustained a broken leg following an accident between a car and a container lorry at the traffic light junction of Kampung Jepak in Bintulu today.
In a report by the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), an emergency call was received at 12.12am, and firefighters from the Bintulu station were deployed.
Upon arrival, it was noted that the accident involved a black Perodua Bezza, which crashed into a lorry container.
The victim, who was the driver of the car, was trapped in his seat, while the driver of the container lorry was unharmed.
“Firefighters used rescue tools to extricate the victim before handing him over to the ambulance.
“They conducted flushing works to remove debris and ensured the road was safe to be used. Once the situation was secured, firefighters returned to the station.”
