KUCHING, Oct 26: A thunderstorm warning has been issued for Sarawak this afternoon by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
Thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds are expected to affect Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu (Selangau), Mukah (Mukah), Bintulu, and Miri (Subis, Beluru, Miri, and Marudi) until 1pm today, according to a MetMalaysia notice issued at 10.55am today.
“A thunderstorm warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with a rain intensity of more than 20 mm/hour that is close or expected to last for more than an hour,” it highlighted. — DayakDaily
