KUCHING, June 29: A thunderstorm warning has been issued for Sarawak this morning by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
Thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds are expected to affect Sibu (Kanowit and Selangau); Mukah (Mukah); Kapit (Song, Kapit, and Bukit Mabong); Bintulu, Miri (Subis, Miri, and Marudi), and Limbang until 7pm today, according to a MetMalaysia notice issued at 2.45pm today.
“A thunderstorm warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with a rain intensity of more than 20 mm/hour that is close or expected to last for more than an hour,” it highlighted. — DayakDaily
