MetMalaysia issues thunderstorm warning for Central S’wak, expected to last until 7pm (Sept 11)

KUCHING, Sept 11: A thunderstorm warning has been issued for Sarawak by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).

Thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds are expected to affect Sibu (Kanowit and Selangau), Mukah (Dalat and Mukah), and Kapit (Song and Kapit) until 7pm today, according to a MetMalaysia notice issued at 4.20pm today.

“A thunderstorm warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with a rain intensity of more than 20 mm per hour expected to last for more than an hour,” it highlighted. — DayakDaily
