MEITD visits Malaysia Innovation Foundation to explore collaboration in innovative programmes

KUCHING, Sept 14: A delegation from the Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development (MEITD) visited Malaysia Innovation Foundation in Kuala Lumpur on Monday (Sept 12) to explore possibilities for collaboration in innovative programmes for young innovators and entrepreneurs.

According to a media release today, the working visit led by Minister Datuk Roland Sagah Wee Inn aimed to, among others, learn and find out about the foundation’s initiatives and programmes .

The Sarawak delegation was received upon arrival by the foundation’s chief executive officer (CEO) Sharmila Mohamad Salleh, Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (Mosti) Strategic Planning Division secretary Ruziah Shafie and its chief operation officer Mohd Rozaidi Abdul Rahman as well as senior officers from the foundation.

MEITD Minister Datuk Roland Sagah Wee Inn and his entourage were briefed on the organisation’s background, successful social innovation projects and financial assistance available.

Afterwards, the entourage was also taken to visit a mini exhibition on grassroot innovation.

Also present were Deputy Minister of Education and Innovation Dr Annuar Rapaee, Deputy Minister for Talent Development Datuk Francis Harden Hollis and MEITD permanent secretary Datu Kameri Affendi. — DayakDaily
