KUCHING, Jan 26: Medan Hospital in Miri is on track to be completed by March this year, with the construction completion rate currently at 91 per cent.
According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, Minister of Transport Sarawak Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin said the project, which costs RM2.5 million is equipped with a capacity of 100 beds.
Lee told this to reporters during his work visit to Medan Hospital construction site today.
He said the main purpose to set up Medan Hospital previously under the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) was to accommodate Covid-19 patients.
However, he added, the hospital can be use for normal patients if there are no Covid-19 cases. ā DayakDaily
