MIRI, March 22: Staff of popular fast food chain McDonald’s this afternoon brought free meals for police, army and People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela) personnel manning roadblocks here to enforce the Movement Control Order (MCO), as a gesture of thanks for their hard work.

The group was spotted at the Pujut 4 roundabout here bringing the meals to the enforcement teams there before proceeding to two other locations.

According to one of the staff, more than 20 bags of food were given out per roadblock station.

Since the MCO came into effect on March 18, dozens of police personel have been working around the clock to man roadblocks within this district to ensure public compliance with the order following a surge in Covid-19 cases in the country. — DayakDaily
