MCC invites traders to apply for Miri Ramadan Bazaar 2022 lots

KUCHING, March 15: Miri City Council (MCC) is inviting members of the public to apply to operate stalls for Ramadan from April 3 to May 2.

In a press statement issued today, MCC said that four locations involving a total of 230 lots had been identified to host Miri Ramadan bazaars this year.

The four locations are Padang MBM at Jalan Padang, MBM (150 lots); Lutong Bazaar parking lot (20 lots); Tamu Desa Pujut 2 (20 lots); and Taman Tunku at Taman Jelita Shophouse Centre (40 lots).

It also noted that the Ramadan bazaar at Taman Tunku is newly created, initiated by Lambir assemblyman Dr Ripin Lamat, who is also the Deputy Minister for Youth, Sports, and Entrepreneur Development II.

Application forms may be obtained from the Office of Public Health Section at UTC Miri, Jalan Raja, starting today (March 15).

Completed application forms and payment receipts for permit fees and cleaning deposits (wherever applicable) should be submitted and registered with the council’s Public Health Section, along with applicants’ food handler course and health clearance certificates, before March 25.

Briefings for successful applications and casting of lots for different categories will be conducted on March 28 and 29.
