MIRI, Feb 28: The Miri City Council’s (MCC) promotion on its subsidised two-wheel bin for ratepayers is still ongoing until March 31 this year.

According to its mayor Adam Yii Siew Sang, the council has received an overwhelming response from applicants since the promotion started.

“The first batch of the two-wheel bins have already finished, and currently, the second batch (of the bins) will be arriving soon,” he said today when met at his office after chairing the full council meeting.

During the promotion, applicants only need to pay RM50 per bin compared to the normal rate of RM180, as the rest of the cost is subsidised by the council.

To qualify for the subsidised rate, applicants need to pay their assessment rates for the whole of 2022 first.

The promotion is open for residential properties only, and the application must be submitted to the council’s counter at Miri UTC.

Meanwhile, the two-wheel bins may be collected at the council’s public cleaning and maintenance section during office hours. — DayakDaily
