KUCHING, Dec 30: Kuching South City Commission (MBKS) is organising its first ever public New Year Countdown event in front of the MBKS building, starting from 9pm onwards this December 31.
“This is the first time that MBKS is holding a countdown event for everyone,” MBKS mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng revealed during the press conference here on Monday afternoon.
According to Wee, the event is one of the ways for MBKS to get familiar with residents in the area as it feels merrier where everyone celebrates this event together.
Performances by local artists and also finalists from Kuching Got Talent Show will also be staged for the public during the event.
Aside from vocal and dance performances, food and drinks have also been lined up for public enjoyment.
The public will also have the chance to play games and win prizes from MBKS councillors.
All residents are welcome to join the New Year countdown. — DayakDaily
