KUCHING, Oct 24: The Kuching South City Council (MBKS) will open its counters at its One-Stop Service Centre this weekend to enable ratepayers under its jurisdiction to pay their assessment bills.
According to a press release issued today, the counters will be open from 8am-4pm on Oct 29 (Saturday) and from 8am-12pm on Oct 30 (Sunday).
“Assessment bills for the first and second halves of 2022 have been issued either via postal or hand-dispatched by the council’s staff. Ratepayers who have not received or have misplaced their assessment bills are requested to come to the MBKS One-Stop Service Counter on the ground floor of the council’s building or go to the first floor of the Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) where a copy of the bill will be issued upon request.
“The due date for payment for the first half of 2022 was on May 31, and payment for the second half of 2022 is on Oct 31. Payment after the due date will be subjected to a surcharge of one per cent per month or part thereof. On no account will consideration be given to waiving the surcharge on the ground of non-receipt of the assessment bills,” said the council.
Ratepayers may pay their bills online through www.paybillsmalaysia.com, https://service.sarawak.gov.my, Sarawak Pay or via internet banking through CIMB Bank Berhad, Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad, Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Malaysia Berhad, Bank Islam, Public Bank Berhad, JomPay, and Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN).
They may also opt to perform payment at the Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) counters, SESCO payment counters, Kuching Water Board payment counters, post office payment counters, DBKU payment counters, MPP payment counters, UTC payment counters or at MBKS payment counters.
