KUCHING, Oct 30: The Kuching South City Council (MBKS) reminded ratepayers living within its area of jurisdiction that the assessment bills for first and second half 2020, have been issued either through the Post Office or hand dispatch by its staff.
According to MBKS, a copy of the bill will also be issued upon request for those who have not received or have misplaced their assessment bill, and request can be made at MBKS One-Stop Service Counter (ground floor) at MBKS headquarters in Jalan Padungan, or the Urban Transformation Centre (UTC), Level 1, Jalan Bukit Mata, here.
“The due date for payment of the first half 2020 is on 31 Oct, 2020, and second half 2020 is on 30 Nov, 2020. Payment after the due date will be subjected to a surcharge at one per cent per-month or part thereof. On no account will consideration be given to waive the surcharge on the ground of non-receipt of the assessment bills,” it said in a press statement, today.
The statement noted MBKS will also open up their counters at the One-Stop Service Centre strictly for the payment of MBKS assessment bill, on Oct 31, 2020 (Saturday), from 8 am until 4 pm.
It said ratepayers may use E-payment mode to pay their bills by accessing through www.paybillsmalaysia.com, Sarawak Pay or via internet banking through CIMB Bank Berhad, Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad, Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Malaysia Berhad, Bank Islam, Public Bank Berhad, JomPay and Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN).
“Ratepayers can also opt to perform the payment of assessment rate at the BSN counters, UTC payment counters or at MBKS payment counters, which are located at ground floor, MBKS hall, Jalan Padungan. Payment by credit cards can also be made at the MBKS payment counters,” the statement read. –DayakDaily.
