During the session, Wee will engage Dr Ho in an informative and easy-to-understand discussion on common heart health concerns, including risk factors for heart disease, warning signs, preventive measures and the importance of regular health screenings.

Wee said the weekly Facebook Live platform served as an important channel for sharing useful information while allowing the council to engage directly with the community on issues affecting their daily lives.

“This week, we are focusing on heart health because prevention starts with awareness. We want our community to understand their risks and know what they can do to protect themselves and their families,” he said in a statement today.

He added that maintaining a healthy heart was not only important for individuals, but also contributed to healthier families and stronger communities.

The session will reinforce the message “Healthy Hearts, Stronger Communities”, with emphasis on understanding personal health risks, protecting family members and making healthier lifestyle choices.

Members of the public are invited to tune in to Wee’s weekly Facebook Live session at 1.30pm this Saturday and join the conversation with Dr Ho.

The session will also carry the message: “Jantung Sihat, Keluarga Bahagia, Sarawak Lebih Kuat.” — DayakDaily
