KUCHING, May 25: Kuching South City Council (MBKS) mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng has disclosed that there were three positive rabies cases recorded this week.
The first case, according to the mayor, occurred at RH Sibat Meridun Engkilili/Lubok Antu, Sri Aman, involving a free-roaming pet that is under active surveillance.
“The second case occurred in Petra Jaya, Kuching, and involved a bite from a stray dog.
“The third case happened at Kampung Siol Kandis, Kuching, and involved a bite from a free-roaming pet,” Wee said during his ShallWeeTalk live session today.
Wee further advised everyone to exercise caution when venturing outdoors. — DayakDaily
