KUCHING, May 4: The first-ever Isekai Pixel World Market at CityOne Megamall has brought a one-of-a-kind themed market experience to Kuching, blending entertainment, creativity, and youth entrepreneurship.
Held from April 30 to May 4, the pop-up market opened daily from 4pm to 11pm, featuring a variety of stalls from local entrepreneurs offering immersive experience with pixel games, gourmet food, trendy merchandise, and exciting activities.
Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng, who officiated the grand opening night recently, praised the organiser Alex Sim and his team for bringing something fresh and exciting to the city.
“When I first heard about this event, I thought, Wow! This is not your usual night market. And now that I am here, I can really feel the energy and creativity around me,” he said in his speech text shared to the media today.
He further highlighted the event’s potential as a platform for young people.
“It gives young local entrepreneurs and creative talents a platform to showcase their products, their skills, and their passions. Events like this are important because they give them that chance,” he added.
Wee encouraged visitors to support the vendors and enjoy the atmosphere, stating: “Try the food, play the games, buy something from our talented vendors and most of all, enjoy the moment.” — DayakDaily
