KUCHING, April 20: Residents living under the Kuching South City Commission (MBKS) jurisdiction can expected to receive free face masks under the Sarawakku Sayang Special Assistance Package from today onwards.
Mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng in a statement revealed he has handed over 270,000 face masks to seven zone chairmen to be distributed to some 45,000 households.
“Each household will receive six pieces of face mask. The councillors and zone members are helping to start the distribution today, so we ask for everyone’s patience.
“You can also check your pigeon hole or mail box at your house as these members might deposit them inside,” Wee added.
The free face mask initiative for the public is sponsored by the Sarawak government. Members of the public can also can contact or whatsapp the respective chairman in charge for further information.
The zone chairmen will distribute face masks to households as listed below:
