KUCHING, Nov 20: Kuching South City Council’s (MBKS) festive season spring cleaning will start from Dec 6, 2021 until Jan 25, 2022.
Its mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng said Roll-On-Roll-Off (RoRo) bins will be deployed and stationed at housing areas for residents to dispose of larger sized rubbish.
“Starting on Dec 6 and 7, RoRo bins will be placed at three locations, namely in the shophouse carpark at Lorong Urat Mata 2, next to Sarawak Energy substation at Lorong Urat Mata 2, and next to Lorong Tabuan Dayak 9 junction.
“These three bins will be for those living in areas along Jalan Seladah, Jalan Urat Mata, Jalan Song (residential nearby Upwell and One Jaya), Jalan Tabuan Dayak at Heights North Garden (behind King Centre), Jalan Wan Alwi, and Jalan Mutiara Permai (housing estate after VivaCity Megamall),” he said during his Facebook live session here today.
For scheduling details of other days, he said the full schedule will be released on MBKS’ social media pages in due time.
Meanwhile, Wee advised local folks whose rubbish bins are broken to send the units to Trienekens for new ones.
He was answering an inquiry from his live audience regarding the handling of broken rubbish bins.
“You can contact Trienekens through their (TS Customer Care) app. You’ll have to bring over the broken units to get replacements for new ones,” he added. — DayakDaily
