KUCHING, March 25: Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng has paid tribute to the police force for their unwavering dedication in maintaining law and order, emphasising the importance of their role in safeguarding the city.
According to a press release from MBKS, in conjunction with Police Day, Wee led a courtesy visit to the Padungan, Sekama, and Central Police Stations to express his appreciation and extend festive greetings to police personnel.
He was accompanied by Deputy Mayor Dato Zaiedi Suhaili and MBKS councillors Eric Tay, Mok Chuang Ping, Andy Tan, Thomas Sim, and Albert Tay.
Wee commended the professionalism, tireless efforts, and sacrifices of the police, especially during times of crisis and uncertainty.
“The safety and security of Kuching is a result of the strong partnership between the police and the community. We sincerely appreciate the sacrifices and contributions of our police force,” he said.
He reaffirmed MBKS’ commitment to working closely with the Royal Malaysia Police to foster a safer and more resilient city, adding that the council would continue to support community policing efforts and public well-being initiatives.
