KUCHING, April 3: Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) will temporarily waive the RM1 fee for the interbank cash withdrawal from April 6 until the end of the movement control order (MCO).
Maybank, in its social media page, said the move will enable customers especially those in the rural areas to withdraw money without charges.
“For the convenience and safety of all, we are waiving the RM1 fee for interbank cash withdrawal transactions at our automated teller machines (ATMs) or self-service terminals from April 6 until the end of the MCO.
“This will enable customers of all banks to make cash withdrawals at the nearest ATM or self-service terminal without charge, following the enhanced restricted movement under the extended MCO,” it said. — DayakDaily
