KUCHING, Nov 18: Wildlife sighting activities at Matang Wildlife Centre will be not available from Jan 1 until June 30, next year.
According to the centre’s press statement, the six-month closure is needed to facilitate infrastructure repair and maintenance works.
However, other park facilities such as accommodation and picnic areas will be open for visitors as usual.
Meanwhile, those who wish to see the orangutan can opt for a visit to the Semenggoh Wildlife Centre as an alternative.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused during this period. Thank you for your understanding and support,” Matang Wildlife Centre disclosed in the statement.
