KUCHING, Oct 14: Children aged below 17 and who are not vaccinated are allowed to visit Matang Family Park on the condition that they are accompanied by parents or guardians who are fully vaccinated.
Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) which will reopen Matang Family Park tomorrow (Oct 15) to the public released today standard operating procedures for those who are interested to visit the park.
Other individuals allowed to visit the park include those who are fully vaccinated, those with low risk status and those who are casual contacts to the asymptomatic individuals.
Unvaccinated individuals, individuals who are in the high risk group as well as those who are unwell and showing Covid-19 symptoms or high body temperature of more than 37.5 degrees Celsius will not be permitted to enter the park.
Visitors to the park must wear face masks at all times, except when swimming. Swimming is only allowed in designated areas.
Visitors must also keep physical distancing of at least one metre from other people. For picnic groups, they must keep at least two metres apart from other groups. Meanwhile barbecuing is only allowed at provided pits.
There will only be one entrance and exit open, which is via the designated Matang Family Park front gate.
Visitors are allowed to register for entry between 8am to 2pm but they are to exit the premises by 4pm. To prevent the spread of Covid-19, the park will allow only a maximum of 50 visitors at one time. — DayakDaily
