Mass rabies vaccination on hold, but DVS operations room still on standby

KUCHING, Mar 19: Mass rabies vaccination for animals, especially dogs, has been put on hold due to the Restricted Movement Order imposed since yesterday.

Sarawak Veterinary Services Department (DVS) director Dr Adrian Susin however assured that its operations room was still on standby.

ā€œYes, mass vaccination is now put on hold until end of March. But our operations room is still open in case of bites,ā€ Dr Adrian told DayakDaily today.

He said, prior to the order which started yesterday, their operations in Lundu managed to vaccinate 1,339 dogs.
