SAMARAHAN, Aug 19: All residents of Taman Samarindah from Lorong 1 to 27 are required to undergo Covid-19 testing.

A four-day active case detection (ACD) operation has been initiated by the Samarahan Division Health Office starting today until Sunday (Aug 22) from 9am to 4pm daily at the Dewan Perpaduan N17 Stakan.

A total of 1,000 residents from the residential area have been screened on the first day of the ACD.

The health authority, in a notice today, has urged all Taman Samarindah residents to get tested in order to prevent further spread of Covid-19 infections in the community.

Those taking the saliva-test for Covid-19 are advised not to eat, drink, smoke and rinse their mouths at least two hours before going for the tests.

People are also reminded to follow the instructions issued by the Ministry of Health and Taman Samarindah neighbourhood committee when travelling to the hall where the ACD operation is taking place.

Taman Samarindah has been placed under Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) until Aug 30 which involved a total of 12,000 residents from 2,450 families.

The EMCO was imposed following positive cases linked to the Bandar Riyal Cluster.— DayakDaily
